Diagnostics and surgical management of periampullary duodenal duplication cysts in children: a report of cases

BACKGROUND: Obstructive variants of chronic duodenal obstruction may be caused by congenital malformations, such as rare periampullary duplication cysts. This localization gastrointestinal duplications is the rarest and not described in domestic literature.
 AIM: study aimed to present experience management cysts children.
 CASES REPORT: Seven children with underwent surgery between 2007 2022. All patients suffered from prolonged abdominal pain, vomiting food, bile. Two had recurrent pancreatitis, one child repeated operations for high intestinal biliary other hospitals. An cyst was suspected patient at another hospital, exploratory laparoscopy, but no formation found. Ultrasound, gastroduodenoscopy, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging were performed on these children. Ultrasound examination showed a peristaltic cystic up 4 cm diameter double wall.
